Haven’t smoothies got somewhat complicated?
If you do a search for smoothie recipes it kicks up all kinds of results – from things containing banana & milk that hardly count as recipes, to complex creations with protein powder and the likes thrown in for good measure.
Lets get things straight… Neither of these things make it onto my favourite smoothie list.
I like my smoothies to be quick & easy. Along with having a bit more substance than straight up banana & milk ( though I do enjoy that too! ). Thankfully Alpro very kindly sent me a little bundle of some of my favourite goodies – which has jump started me into #AlproSmoothie making action!
All of the following recipes are missing the method section – but that’s cos I know you are smart cookies. Stick them ingredients in your blender. Blitz them until you think it looks lush – enjoy πΆ
Berry Blast #AlproSmoothie
This little beauty tastes like an awesome berry ice-cream… yet it’s good for you. #winningatlife
2 small handfuls of frozen berries ( my favs contain strawberry, raspberry & blackberry )
3tbsp Alpro Simply plain
1tbsp Pumpkin Seeds
3 Large Ice Cubes
50ml Water
Honey Nut #AlproSmoothie
This is the kind of #AlproSmoothie I like to enjoy along side my breakfast. As a matter of fact – it’d probably be pretty nice poured over oats as a bircher muesli… π It’s light – but it feels feeding, comforting even. Sort of like the milk that is left over after eating honey nut cornflakes!
2tbsp Oats ( I pre-soak in the fridge overnight )
1tbsp Honey
1tbsp Peanut Butter
4 Pecans ( easy to substitute for what you love )
100mlΒ AlproΒ Almond Milk
Mocha Smoothie #AlproSmoothie
My favourite of the bunch is this coffee, chocolate hit! Perfect to take to work to help you make it through the morning slump.
50ml Alpro Almond Milk
100ml Iced Coffee
1 Banana
1tsp Cocoa
3 Ice Cubes
βββI shared this smoothie on my Instagram Story – Have you given it a go yet? I never made friends with Snapchat… Instagram Stories could be the one πππβββ
I’d love to hear about your favourite smoothies. Do you use them as a breakfast substitute? Or are you like me, and use them as an additional treat?
