Cook with M&S App

I’m not an App kinda gal – I scroll past blog posts where people list there favourite Apps, because I have the ones I use. And I dont consider myself ‘in the market’ for any newbies.

However when M&S contacted me about giving their new Cook with M&S App a blast – I couldnt think of a good reason not to. Mainly because I am a sucker for a good recipe – and secondly because I like a challenge. The challenge being that I needed to promise to follow the recipes…. I am usually a bit of a recipe ad-libber – throwing in whatever is closest to hand that I think will compliment the ingredients I have in pan. This times different though, I am putting my trust in M&S and picking two recipes from their App to sample…..

Marks And SpencersIt took a while – but I settled on these two to start with. I must have been craving some seafood on my planning day – but there were no complaints. We find it hard to remember to eat lots of fish, even though it is a clear favourite with both of use! ( and Dakota the husky too! )

And I happy to report complete success! Both recipes are now on my list of dishes to make on a regular basis. The Thai Prawn Noodle Soup is incredible – noodley goodness, that can only improve your mood. Comfort food with a kick – Im totally for it. And if you are looking for one dish to test the App out, I would recommend this one. Its making me spend hours searching the web for Thai Noodle Soup inspiration – yes, I am that girl ๐Ÿ˜€

Mackerel and Beetroot Mackerel, Beetroot & Jersey Royals Prawn Noodle Soup Thai Prawn Noodle SoupApart from the super recipes ( the 2 Ive trialed so far anyhows ) – the App has some really nifty features too. You can adapt the recipes to suit however many people you will be cooking for before adding it onto your shopping list. Then you can go through the little shopping list and tick off the products you already have, compacting your list before heading to the shop. And once you are ready to go you can work your way through the recipes with step by step directions, and handy timers to keep you right!

You can get the App for Android & Appleย for free – so hop to it!

Have you tried the Cook with M&S App? Id love to hear your favourite recipes!

*Marks and Spencers supplied me with the ingredients for my chosen dishes. However all words are my own – and I was under no obligation to supply a positive review. As usual, I only share with you what I do truly rate!
