This month was the first time I took part in #FoodiePenPals & I can see many happy months of #FoodiePenPal connections ahead of me! If this month is anything to go by, I am in for lots of treats!
This month my #FoodiePenPal was Sadrine from http://patatetietpatateta.wordpress.com/ – make sure to pop on over – but you will need your very best GCSE French to help you! However, dont let that put you off – google translate is a wonderful thing! Sandrines blog is worth a look, even just for her photos & a peek at a different culture. There are more than couple of recipes for me to try 🙂 as you can see from the photos below – we obviously have a few similarities in taste!
There is not a single thing in Sandrines parcel that I dont love. She obviously spent a while getting to know me before putting this parcel together – and it shows! I have already cracked open the little cassis / blackberry bonbons & they are lovely. And I am surprised I have been able to resist the violet chocolate, as floral flavours & scents are something I am really into at the moment.
Among all these goodies Sandrine also included 2 fun things for me to make. One being a Macaron making kit – which I am really looking forward to giving a whirl (She even thoughtfully translated the instructions for me ♥ ) And the second a recipes and ingredients for << Mendiants au Chocolat >> – Chocolate Beggars. You can expect to see my attempts at both on the blog soon!
Above is a little peek at what I sent to my #FoodiePenPal this month. A small selection of some of my favourite things!
I am really looking forward to creating my next parcel – do pop over to Rock Salt and join in if you fancy it!!
