I dont think its just me who finds everything a bit too much during January. Its hard to be chirpy when you are feeling a bit worn around the edges. Short dark days dont bode well for activities outside work – and the weeks pass slowly. At least in the event of a snow fall the world seems a little brighter – the reflection of the sun bouncing off the snow lights up grim grey mornings. The crisp winter days are my favourite, with the crunch under your feet as you walk along. I need to take note to make more of these days – the great outdoors is surely the medicine we all need.
